2010 Census

2010 CensusIt’s time again to stand and be counted.

This is where we count up how much money the Government spends on posters, catchy jingles, prime-time commercials, web sites, postage….wait….no.

Fuck. What was it? I know we’re counting something. SHIT.

Oh – that’s right. People. We’re counting the people, now I remember.

I took the time to fill out my 2010 Census form this past weekend, and if you haven’t done so – I ask that you do it soon. It’s important, it only takes a few minutes, and sweet baby Jesus – we’ve spent enough money on it – please don’t let that be wasted.

Mobile Update Test

This is my first test of the Wordpress app for iPhone. Actually – that’s not entirely true. In my first test, I marked my post as a loacl draft, which apparently then makes it invisible to the iPhone app.

This time we’ll try saving straight to published app and we’ll see what happens.

Your camera is a great way to take pictures. It is not however, an even remotely good way to transfer data.

When you leave the card in your camera and simply connect it directly to your computer, you make a choice to turn your camera into an extremely expensive USB drive.

The primary problem with most camera backpacks is that they are either a good camera gear storage device, or a comfortable means of transport – but rarely both.

For most people, this isn’t a huge deal as most of the time, people don’t care much about the comfortable transportability aspect. Camera bags (of any style) are typically a way to keep all of one’s gear together in one protected place, and that’s it. It is taken off the closet shelf, the camera is used, and then it is put back on the closet shelf.

The End of the Universe…

Comedian (and genius) Lewis Black has described the end of the universe as a location in Houston, Texas – where there is a Starbucks…across the street from another Starbucks.

Unfortunate but true, I have discovered what must be the other end of the universe.
